Lenovo-owned mobile brand, Motorola, officially launched its flip phone which is simply called the ‘Motorola Razr‘ in a throwback to the top-selling phone of all time in 2004. The old Razr was slender, even by today's standard with that blue-illuminated metal keypad, Motorola Razr was one iconic of Technology innovation.
The foldable phones get the attention and speculation quite captured. Samsung and Huawei have paid attention to the foldable phone. Motorola decided to challenge them by bringing back its Razr which has a different foldable style we've seen in Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. As we've known from the past, Razr had its iconic flip design to unfold from compact factor to be a full-from phone differing to the recent foldable style which unfolds their fold-form phone to be bigger screen tablets.
The new Motorola Razr is easy with one hand when flipped open (as much as any larger estimated mobile phone can), yet more significantly, when cinched shut it fits in your palm – and your pocket. It’s coming with a foldable 6.2-inch screen, 16-megapixel double-duty camera. This new Razr is wider, heavier, and fully stocked with features fit for 2019.
Features and Specs
The new Motorola Razr features a premium design and two screens–a main folding screen that is visible when the phone is unfolded, and a small secondary one on the outside that shows the date, incoming call details, and other such info when the phone is folded. The machine is only 14 millimeters thick, remaining true to the name ' Razr, ' which is commendable given it is a clamshell. It will only be offered in one color – Noir Black.
When it's folded, you will get a view on its secondary screen which is a ‘Quick View’ 2.7-inch gOLED 600×800 screen that’s placed just above the main camera. The main screen is called ‘Flex View’ which has 6.6-inch pOLED panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 2142×876 pixel resolution. Talking about its imaging system, there’s a 16MP sensor that acts as the primary camera when the device is unfolded and can be used as the selfie-cam when the phone is folded. The new Razr, however, places a 5MP camera inside to take selfies when the phone is unfolded as well.
The new Motorola Razr is powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC, which means it just provides you a mid-range performance. It comes with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and also a 2510mAh battery with 15W charging. The Razr will run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.
