Samsung patents a smart speaker featured a rollable display

Previously you've seen a rollable display TV from LG, now what?

Many tech companies have released their smart speaker with voice command assistants such as Apple, Google, Sony, and even Amazon.

Just recently, Samsung has filed a patent for a smart speaker, but different from others featured with a unique rollable display. The patent has been filed at the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service which shortens as KIPRIS.

Speaker with Rollable Display

Schematics of the Samsung speaker may be observed according to the patent. The gadget features a flexible display unit that can cover the entire surface of the cylindrical-shaped speaker except for the top woofer. You can also unfurl the panel and use it at an angle of 180 degrees. It can be unrolled and straightened, in other words, potentially to provide a better viewing experience.

There's no guarantee in case this product would ever become a billboard product while Samsung didn't make its success on smart speakers yet. Previously, Samsung’s Galaxy Home which got announced back in August 2018 has not hit the market. Hence, we might suggest you retain your expectations to the smallest amount possible level on this one.

Besides, the Galaxy Home Mini was shown-off last October but that has not made it to the stores also. The South Korean tech giant is reportedly getting to launch the Galaxy Home Mini each day after the Galaxy Unpacked event.
